 Telford-H (Telmisartan + Hydrochlorothiazide) Description

• Composition:

  • Telmisartan 40 mg

  • Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg
    (fixed-dose combination)

• Indication (Uses):
  Telford-H is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension).
  It is prescribed when a single medicine alone is not enough to control BP.
  By lowering blood pressure, it reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

• How it Works (Mechanism of Action):

  • Telmisartan An angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes blood vessels so that blood flows more easily.

  • Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) A thiazide diuretic (water pill). It helps remove excess salt and water from the body through urine, which lowers BP.
