LEEM CV TAB
Amoxicillin 500 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 125 mg
Description:
LEEM CV TAB is a combination antibiotic containing Amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin-type antibiotic, and Potassium Clavulanate, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This formulation is designed to overcome bacterial resistance by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes that can degrade amoxicillin, thus enhancing its effectiveness against a wider range of bacteria.
Indications:
Respiratory tract infections (e.g., sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)
Urinary tract infections
Skin and soft tissue infections
Otitis media
Dental infections
Mechanism of Action:
Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death.
Clavulanate inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, preserving the activity of amoxicillin.
